Art Therapy, Depression, and Suicidal Ideation
Among College Students.”

Workshop Description: The workshop
includes a 7-hour presentation introducing art therapeutic evaluations and interventions targeting college students with symptoms
of depression and suicidal ideation. Workshop participants will learn to recognize depression and suicidal ideation through
examples of college students’ artwork. Workshop participants will also be invited to create specific art therapeutic
exercises that help identify at-risk students.
The workshop
trainer is Catherine Rogers Jonsson (MFA, MA), a registered art therapist with the American Art Therapy Certification
Board (ATR, 1992) and a credentialed professional member of the American Art Therapy Association. She is a graduate
of Columbia University in NYC (School of the Arts, MFA: Visual Art) and the University of Wisconsin-Superior (MA: Art Therapy). Catherine
has 19 years of clinical art therapy experience and offers a mixture of creativity, humor, dynamic teaching and
compassionate insights to her workshops. She is also a professional artist based in Sweden with numerous solo and

Note: Due to the restricted number of seats available for the training, ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
Participants will be selected on a first come, first serve basis. There is a strong possibility of a "sell out"
crowd for the training, as only 25 participants will be admitted.
